Twelve framed, flat pressed and dried leaves constitute Herbarium # 1. All leaves originally stem from the so-called hybrid sycamore trees and grow to the size of a paperback. Through cutting, the original form is modified: smaller, actually existing morphologies are created. The leaves are reminiscent of collections of preserved plant specimens – as seen in natural history museums.
